Our Story
We met while we were teenagers with no intentions of having a relationship other than being friends. We started to hang out more than usual. One day we had plans to watch a movie with friends, but later that night everyone canceled. We still decided to go, and needless to say, watching the movie “just us two” felt different. There was a “spark” that was not there before. We pretended like those feelings never existed and continued our relationship as friends, but a few months later is when our story truly began. On July 31st, 2010 we became “boyfriend” and “girlfriend”. We got along perfectly and always had a blast together. However, some would say that our relationship is the perfect example of how opposites attract. We definitely have a balance of fiery and energetic and mellow and calm (can you guess who is who?).
We both connected on our similar interests and values. The biggest value that connected us was our love for our families. We are both family-oriented people. Becoming a part of each other’s families brought us even closer and strengthened our relationship. After 6 years we got engaged in the Caribbean on June 20, 2016 at the southernmost point of Grand Turk. Finding your partner in life is not an easy task. Sometimes they are right in front of you. In our case it was love at “second sight”. We just celebrated our 8-year relationship, and can’t wait to be officially Mr. & Mrs. Villajin.
